ASH WEDNESDAY MASS TIMES

Mass in Naples on Ash Wednesday will be at 7:00 A.M. and 5:30 P.M. Mass in Fort Myers will be at 12:15 P.M.


GUIDELINES FOR FASTING AND ABSTINENCE

Ash Wednesday and Good Friday are obligatory days of fasting and abstinence for Catholics. In addition, Fridays during Lent are obligatory days of abstinence. For members of the Latin Catholic Church, the norms on fasting are obligatory from age 18 until age 59. When fasting, a person is permitted to eat one full meal, as well as two smaller meals that together are not equal to a full meal. The norms concerning abstinence from meat are binding upon members of the Latin Catholic Church from age 14 onwards.


MONDAYS FOR LIFE BEGIN TOMORROW, FEB. 12

Our Corpus Christi Chapel community will begin weekly “Mondays for Life” prayer vigils tomorrow, February 12, from 9 to 10 A.M., outside of the Naples Planned Parenthood at 1425 Creech Road. Father Romanoski will lead us in the Rosary as we peacefully demonstrate our belief in the sanctity of human life from the moment of conception. Please join us to pray for babies at risk of abortion, their mothers, and all people who impact the lives of these innocent victims.

NAPLES PRAYER WALK FOR LIFE THIS WEDNESDAY

Join Bishop Frank J. Dewane on Ash Wednesday, February 14, for the 8:00 A.M. Mass at St. William Church. A shuttle will be available after Mass to the start of a peaceful Prayer Walk to Planned Parenthood with Bishop Dewane. This event marks the beginning of the Spring 40 Days for Life Campaign. Call 239-227-5192 for details. Community Pregnancy Clinic’s new Naples Midtown Clinic across the street from Planned Parenthood will have an open house with tours before and after the Prayer Walk.


YOUNG ADULT GROUP

Our next Young Adult meeting will be Thursday, Feb. 15 from 7:30 P.M. to about 9 P.M. Please subscribe to our email list or update your preferences on our website for further information.


DONUTS AND COFFEE

Beginning this Sunday, Feb. 11, there will be donuts and coffee after every 8:45 A.M. Mass in front of the main St. Agnes church. Please join us for conversation and refreshments.


KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS BREAKFAST

The St. Agnes Knights of Columbus is hosting a Pancake Breakfast in the parish hall this Sunday, Feb. 11 after both Masses. Come and enjoy pancakes, omelets, sausage, and get to know more about the Knights of Columbus.


ADULT CATECHESIS CLASS & ACOLYTE TRAINING SATURDAY

Adult catechesis class and acolyte training will occur this coming Saturday, Feb. 10 at Royal Palm Academy. Please RSVP to Fr. Romanoski for the catechesis class, and Fr. Passo for the acolyte training.


CATECHESIS IN SPANISH

Each Wednesday, starting this week, catechesis in Spanish will be offered after the 5:15 P.M. mass from 6:00 - 6:45 P.M.

ST. FRANCIS XAVIER MISSION TRIP

The St. Francis Xavier Mission Trip began in 2010 with the intent of providing an opportunity for young people from apostolates of the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter to participate in missionary experience. SPIRITUAL HIGHLIGHTS OF FRANCE TRADITIONAL CATHOLIC PILGRIMAGE

Fr. Garrick Huang, FSSP will be leading this 9-day pilgrimage in May, 2018. Highlights include a stay at the traditional Benedictine Fontgombault Abbey, visits to Nevers and Ars to see the incorrupt remains of St. Bernadette of Lourdes and St. John Vianney, a stay in the Alps at La Salette where Our Lady appeared to shepherd children and a visit to Paray-le-Monial, where the Sacred Heart of Jesus appeared to St. Margaret Mary. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED TO HELP PREPARE FOR MASS

We still need a few more volunteers to help set up the altar before Mass during the week. This involves arriving ~30 minutes before Mass to set up the altar linens. Please sign up for a twice-a-month turn in the back of the chapel.

You can now register as a parishioner of Corpus Christi Chapel using the paper forms which are available at the back of the chapel, or can be downloaded to print here, and may be submitted to the office at St. Agnes. Online registration will be available soon. If you were registered at Christ the King, your records may have been transferred already.

If you wish to transfer your automatic giving from Christ the King Parish you will need to end it by contacting them, and sign up with Corpus Christi Chapel.
