Imposition of The Brown Scapular of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel after all Masses Sunday, July 15th

As the feast of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel is this Monday, July 16th, we will be imposing Her Brown Scapular on all who have not yet received it and would like to do so. Once imposed, the ceremony need not be repeated as the blessing of incorporation remains with the person enrolled, provided they wear their Scapular. Feel free to bring your own or receive one that will be provided. More information about the Brown Scapular can be found here: “The Brown Scapular” on the Sisters of Carmel website.

New Superior General Elected for the FSSP: Fr. Andrzej Komorowski

Fr. Berg's maximum two- six year terms having concluded in which he accomplished so much for the expansion of the FSSP, the General Council elected Fr. Komorowski to a six year term. FSSP General Chapter

Please join us in praying a novena to the Holy Ghost for our ongoing General Chapter, July 3-18, which among other important matters will elect our next Superior General.

Novena to the Holy Ghost

Veni, Sancte Spiritus, reple tuorum corda fidelium, et tui amoris in eis ignem accende.

Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Thy faithful and kindle in them the fire of Thy love.

V. Emitte Spiritum tuum et creabuntur;

Send forth Thy Spirit and they shall be created

R. Et renovabis faciem terrae.

And Thou shalt renew the face of the earth.

Oremus: Deus, qui corda fidelium Sancti Spiritus illustratione docuisti: da nobis in eodem Spiritu recta sapere, et de eius semper consolatione gaudere. Per Christum Dominum nostrum. Amen.

Let us pray: O God, Who taught the hearts of the faithful by the light of the Holy Spirit, grant that, by the gift of the same Spirit, we may be always truly wise, and ever rejoice in His consolation. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Please Consider Becoming an Usher
We Need a Few Good Men

Being an usher is a great privilege and responsibility. They are, in part, an extension of our priestly ministry among the people and the care of the Church of God. We thank those who have volunteered and ask that more men consider helping with this role. Those interested, contact [email protected].

Register Now: Musica Sacra Florida Gregorian Chant Conference

What is the Musica Sacra Florida Gregorian Chant Conference? It is a one-and-a-half day event for adults and young adults, beginning late afternoon on Friday, July 27th, and continuing on Saturday, July 28th, until about 6:30PM. You do not have to be a musician to attend Musica Sacra Florida. The conference will feature three workshops, including one on basic Gregorian chant square notation. Have you ever wondered about the square notes that are used exclusively for Gregorian chant? This is your opportunity to learn and understand something about the Catholic Church’s own sung prayer. All are welcome; come help us celebrate the tenth year of Musica Sacra Florida! Further information & online registration are available at: MusicaSacraFlorida.com
