Letter from Bishop Dewane to Corpus Christi Chapel

Dear Parishioners of Corpus Christi Chapel:

May the Peace of Our Savior Jesus Christ reign in your hearts and in your homes! 

This opportunity is taken to extend my renewed appreciation to the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Peter for their commitment and dedication to serving the people of the Diocese of Venice according to the Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite.

With this letter, I wish to inform the Faithful of Corpus Christi Chapel and the Latin Mass community, that Father Jonathan Romanoski, F.S.S.P., has received from his Religious Community a new assignment in the Diocese of Providence, R.I Sincere gratitude and appreciation is extended to Father Romanoski for his four years of service as Chaplain at Corpus Christi Chapel and care of the Faithful entrusted to him. Please keep Father Romanoski in your prayers as he undertakes his new responsibilities.

Further, I take this opportunity to announce the appointment of Reverend Timothy van Zee. F.S.S.P., effective November 21, 2021. Father van Zee was ordained to the Priesthood on May 28, 2016, and had previously served in the Diocese of Venice at St. Michael Parish, Wauchula. It is with great confidence that I entrust your pastoral care to this hard working and dedicated priest.

Kindly embrace Father van Zee in his new role as Chaplain of the Corpus Christi Community according to the Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rile and please keep him in prayer as he assumes his new responsibilities.
