Spiritual Exercises for Men June 19th-21st in Ocala, Florida

We are pleased to invite you to the Spiritual Exercises for Men retreat, scheduled to take place in Ocala, Florida, from June 19th to 21st. The retreat will be Preached by Fr. van Zee, FSSP.

There are 30 seats available for Corpus Christi Chapel parishioners. Please register here. The exact location will be provided after registration. 

-Arrival: 6-7 PM on June 19
-Departure: After the 4:30 PM Mass on Sunday, June 21st
-Cost: $75 per person. This fee includes food, retreat expenses, and a copy of the Spiritual Exercises.
- Limit: 30 spots for Corpus Christi Chapel parishioners, with a total of 60 participants.
-Audience: Adults only.
-Language: Talks and Spiritual Exercises will be conducted in English. Confessions will be available in both English and Spanish. 

 Nota Bene: We know it is Father's Day on Sunday, the 21st, and we thought some fathers would like to get away and have some quiet time to pray.

Weekly Highlights for June 7th to June 20th

Please take note of the upcoming events at Corpus Christi Chapel in Naples:

-Friday, June 5th: First Friday devotion after all Masses.

-Friday, June 5th. We will have two Masses as follows:  

  • 7:30 a.m. Low Mass at Corpus Christi Chapel in Naples. 
  • 5:30 p.m. High Mass at Corpus Christi Chapel in Naples.

-Saturday, June 6th,  first Saturday devotion after Mass. 

-Saturday, June 6th  at 9:30 am. First confession for the candidates preparing for their First Holy Communion. 

-Sunday, June 7th, 2026, at 9:30 a.m., we will be holding a High Mass and Procession to celebrate the external Solemnity of Corpus Christi. Additionally, we will be commemorating the occasion of First Holy Communions on this momentous day. After the ceremony, we will enjoy some fun-filled games such as Nerf-battle and a potluck. Please bring food to share with our growing parish family. Additionally, steaks prepared by a state-award-winning chef will be available for purchase.

Mass Schedule:

  • Low Mass at 7:30 a.m. at Corpus Christi Chapel in Naples
  • High Mass at 9:30 a.m. at Corpus Christi Chapel in Naples
  • Low Mass at 12:30 p.m. at Resurrection in Fort Myers.

We won't have confessions for the 12:30 p.m. Mass in Fort Myers.

-Monday, June 8th at 9:00 a.m. Summer Chant Camp Check-in.

-Friday, June 12th, for the feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, we will hold two Masses at Corpus Christi Chapel in Naples:

  • 7:30 AM: Low Mass at Corpus Christi Chapel in Naples
  • 9:30 AM: High Mass at Corpus Christi Chapel in Naples

-Saturday, June 13th, at 9:30 a.m. RCIA Class will be taught by Fr. van Zee.

Novena in Preparation for the Feast of The Sacred Heart of Jesus on June 12th

We will begin a novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus on June 3rd, right after each Mass. Printed copies of the novena will be available at the entrance of the church for your convenience, and it can also be downloaded here.

Consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus will be made on Friday, June 12th. The Mass schedule at Corpus Christi Chapel in Naples will be as follows:

  • 7:30 AM: Low Mass
  • 9:30 AM: High Mass

Wedding banns

Let it be known to all here present that Joseph Busemeyer and Theresa Higginson to contract marriage between themselves on June 5th, 2026. Therefore, we admonish all that if anyone is aware of any existing impediment that would prohibit marriage between them, that he is obligated to reveal it as soon as possible to the Pastor or the Bishop, and this serves as the second publication of these Banns.

Attention Catholic Men: Rosary in Reparation for “Pride” Event

As we did during this year’s and last year’s Naples Pride Festival, we will hold a public recitation of the rosary in reparation for the Fort Myers event. We will meet in the park next to the public library on First Street (between Lee Street and Royal Palm Avenue) on June 13th at 3 PM and then proceed to the event itself, where we will recite the rosary in or near the parking lot across the street from the Art Center.

Since we are addressing an extreme form of immodesty, we kindly ask that you dress modestly, wearing long pants (no shorts) and a collared shirt, to set a positive public example. Please consider joining this effort and spreading the word to like-minded individuals. Thank you!

Young Adult Group - Trivia Night on Friday, May 22nd

On Friday, May 22nd, Corpus Christi at 6:30 pm will be hosting trivia night. Attendees will be in teams of three or four and compete by answering questions about Church history, sacraments, and other miscellaneous fun topics. Prizes will be awarded, but you will have to attend to find out what they are!

Potluck Gathering on Sunday, May 24th

We are excited to invite you to our community potluck on Sunday, May 24th, at 3:00 p.m. at Corpus Christi Chapel in Naples. This timing has been set so that our priests and all community members can join us. We would be delighted if you could bring a dish that represents your culture or country. We will have a tent with air conditioning to keep us cool, and there will also be a slide for the kids to enjoy! A dessert cooking competition judged by the priests, with the top 3 receiving prizes. No need to preregister, just come and have fun! 

We look forward to coming together to celebrate the rich diversity of flavors.
