Epiphany Water Blessing

On Wednesday January 5th, the vigil of the Epiphany, we will have the traditional blessing of the Epiphany water. Mass will be at 4:15 pm at St. Agnes and not at 5:15pm. The blessing of the Epiphany water will take place immediately after Mass. This blessing takes time and there is another group using the chapel after us. This is why Mass and the blessing will begin early.

If you would like to have water blessed, please bring it in large containers (as opposed to many small containers) to the back of the chapel by the tables which are near the entrance.

Kits with Epiphany water, blessed incense, and blessed chalk (water, incense, and chalk were all blessed last year) will be available to use for renewing of the blessing already imparted on your home; a donation of $5 is asked. The prayer of blessing to print here; just make sure to change the year to '2022.'

If your house has not been blessed, please feel free to sign up.

Gold, incense, myrrh, and chalk will be blessed after Mass on January 6th

Message from Fr. Lawrence, Provincial Superior of North America, FSSP

The recent document from the Congregation for Divine Worship released on December 18th does not directly address the former Ecclesia Dei communities such as the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter who possess their own proper law.  The members of the Fraternity of St. Peter promised to be faithful to our Constitutions at the time of our admittance into the Fraternity and we remain committed to exactly that: fidelity to the Successor of Peter and the faithful observance of the "liturgical and disciplinary traditions" of the Church  in accordance with the provisions of the Motu Proprio "Ecclesia Dei" of July 2, 1988, which is at the origin of our foundation.  The superiors of the Priestly Fraternity will be studying the document more closely while maintaining our ministry to the faithful entrusted to our care.
