Birthday of our Blessed Mother

Thursday, September 8th, is the second-class Feast of the Birth of our Blessed Mother. We will have a sung Mass beginning at 5:00pm and not at 5:15pm. This is to ensure that we have a beautiful sung Mass without rushing and to be done in time for the 6:30pm Spanish Mass to begin.

After taking a break for the Summer, we will begin again with our activities at Royal Palm Academy on Saturday September 17th at 9am. Activities include Maidens of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament, altar boys, children's choir, and adult classes.

Fr. Adams will test the altar boys to ensure their readiness to serve Holy Mass.

Our choir director, Nicky Rutherford, will be leading the children's choir.

Fr. van Zee will be teaching the adult classes from 9am to 10am. The topic for the classes will be the liturgy of the Traditional Latin Mass.

Invitation to Join the Maidens of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament

Yes, we’re the ones you see processing in white before various Masses! Well grounded in tradition, the Maidens of Mary is a sodality which was popular in the 1950s. All young ladies in the parish aged 7 (or after receiving First Communion) through 21 are warmly encouraged to join us this year. The Maidens aspire to give glory to God through the model of authentic Marian femininity in solidarity with one another, and by such works as worship, service to our parish and extended community, and prayer. The Maidens gather two Saturdays each month, at which they receive catechetical instruction from our pastor, work on projects, and have free time to play, share, and build friendships. Some examples of our current and past works include: spiritual bouquets, visits to nursing homes, making scapulars and rosaries, organizing the annual parish ice skating trip, praying for the FSSP seminarians, and pilgrimages. We hope you will join us in this unique opportunity to know, love, and serve our Lord. Please contact Maureen ([email protected]) to express your interest and for further information.

Proper Attire for Holy Mass

Out of respect for Our Lord Jesus Christ Who lives in the tabernacle day and night, and to assist your fellow worshippers in “fighting the good fight” for the difficult virtue of Holy Purity, we ask that you enter the Church dressed modestly and in a manner fitting for the House of God.

• Shoulders and upper arms should be covered (men and women)
• Necklines should be modest (The last guidelines published by the Vatican stated that necklines should not be cut lower than a 2-finger width below the pit of the throat)
• Skirts should fall below the knee when seated
• Clothes should not be “tight-fitting” or transparent
• Shorts or tank tops are never appropriate in Church

Masses for the Assumption

On August 15th, 2022 we will have Mass at 4:00pm and 5:15pm at St Agnes in Naples. Although this is normally a holy day of obligation, it is not this year. Even though it is not a holy day of obligation, all are still strongly encouraged to attend Mass in honor of our Blessed Mother's glorious assumption into heaven.
