Fr. Adams Away This Week
Fr Adams will be out of town this week. He will be attending a meeting of Fraternity Priests in Nebraska.
Mothers of Corpus Christi for Vocations
Mothers of Corpus Christi for Vocations pray together every First-Sunday immediately after the 8:45 AM Mass at St. Agnes in Naples.
All mothers are welcome- please come to the pews near the altar rail, after the altar boys say their prayers right after the 8:45 AM Mass. Also, please offer, if you can, your Holy Communion and Rosary on the first Sunday of every month for vocations. A prayer card will be given out, but, if you like, you can print out these prayers we will say together:
For vocations:
“O God, grant that one of my children may become a priest! O Lord, grant that one of my children may become a religious! I myself want to live as a good Christian and want to guide my children to do always what is right, so that I may receive the grace, O God, to be allowed to give you both a holy priest and a religious! Amen.”
For the Church:
“O Holy Spirit, Creator, mercifully assist Thy Catholic Church, and by Thy heavenly power strengthen and establish Her against the assaults of all Her enemies; and by Thy love and grace renew the spirit of Thy servants whom Thou hast anointed, that in Thee they may glorify the Father and His only-begotten Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.”
New Time for Saturday Morning Masses
Beginning Saturday, May 7th Saturday morning Masses will be at 6:45 AM and no longer will be at 7:30 AM.

Resurrexit sicut dixit!
Happy Easter to you all! We, the priests of Corpus Christi Chapel, would like to wish you all a very Happy Easter. Our prayer is that Lent and Holy Week were fruitful and prayerful times and that now you all would experience the tremendous joy of the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ. We would like to welcome those who became Catholic and received the sacraments of the Church. We also acknowledge all those who received the strengthening of the Holy Ghost at Confirmation during the Easter Vigil. We promise you all our continued prayers.
Holy Week 2022
Mr. Toan Cao, a Fraternity Seminarian in his fourth year of studies, will be assisting at Corpus Christi for Holy Week and Easter. Please introduce yourselves.
Many of the Masses during Holy Week are Solemn and require both priests, confessions will not be available during these solemn ceremonies. Please, do not plan on going to Confession during the 4:30pm Mass on Palm Sunday or the Triduum (Holy Thursday to Easter Vigil). Confessions will be heard on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday during the 5:15pm Mass at St. Agnes.
Attending the Easter Vigil Mass fulfills the Sunday obligation. One would not be required to attend another Mass on Easter Sunday morning, but you are certainly welcome to do so.
There is a tradition of special Easter blessings of food. Anyone who would like to have Easter food blessed (lamb or other meats, eggs, bread, fruit, cheese, Easter baskets, etc.) should bring them to the confessional after Mass on the Easter Vigil or Easter Sunday. Traditionally, this newly blessed food is eaten at the Easter breakfast after Mass
All Catholics are reminded of the Precept of the Church to receive Holy Communion during the time of Easter each year. This must be done sometime between Ash Wednesday and Trinity Sunday. Of course, this must be done in the State of Grace so regardless of any reason one might not have been receiving Holy Communion now is the time to correct the situation, make a good confession if necessary and fulfill this Precept which binds all Catholics under the pain of mortal sin.
