The Forty Hours Devotion and the Diocesan Rosary Congress at Corpus Christi Chapel from October 7th to 9th, 2025.

The Diocese of Venice Rosary Congress 2025

Seven days of Eucharistic Adoration and Hourly Rosary in response to Our Lady of Fatima’s call to conversion, consecration, and prayer. The Eucharistic Rosary Congress encourages us to renew our worship of Our Lord, Jesus Christ in the Eucharist!

We are participating in the Rosary Congress of the Diocese of Venice. The theme for the 2025 Diocesan Rosary Congress is "My Soul Magnifies the Lord" (Luke 1:46), is the beginning of the Blessed Virgin Mary’s hymn of praise at the Visitation commonly known as the Magnificat. Mary, pregnant with the Incarnate Word of God, Jesus, is prompted by the inspired greeting of her cousin, Elizabeth, who is herself pregnant with a son, later to be known as John the Baptist, the “Forerunner of the Lord.” This exultant joy of the Blessed Mother for the tremendous favor bestowed on her by the Triune God is an example to us as we meditate, through the Rosary, on the mysteries of Christ’s life and the salvation He won for us!

In Corpus Christi Chapel, the ceremony will begin with a Mass on Tuesday, October 7th, at 7:30 a.m. Following the Mass, the Blessed Sacrament will be exposed for 40 hours. There will be a second Mass on Wednesday, October 8th, at 7:30 a.m., and a third Mass at 5:30 p.m. A fourth Mass will take place on Thursday, October 9th, at 7:30 a.m. Click here to sign up to spend time accompanying our Lord in the Most Blessed Sacrament .

Bishop Frank J. Dewane highlighted the power of the Rosary and called on everyone to pray it, live it, and persevere.

Update on the Chandeliers

Way back before we opened the doors at the new Corpus Christi Chapel location, we received a number of chandeliers, both big and small, which were paid for by your generosity. We wanted to update you on their status since you have probably noticed they are not yet hanging in the Church. The larger chandeliers are very heavy, and hanging them from the ceiling has proved very trying. We have been looking into reinforcement mechanisms, but do not want to compromise the integrity of the new roof. Some of them were damaged and need repairs, and there are not many people skilled in this area. If you know someone who is skilled in plastering and electricity, please let us know. We hope to be able to incorporate these into future building plans, but have been unable to up to this point. Sorry it has taken so long to you all know! Mea culpa! If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please feel free to reach out to Fr. van Zee, FSSP: [email protected]

The Playground

As many of you have noticed, our playground equipment that was once fixed in place is now gone. This equipment was removed because it was no longer in good working order. It has been replaced with safe plastic toys. We have looked into replacing the fixed equipment, and the lower end of the estimates says it will cost about $87,000. So, for the time being or until the necessary funds are raised, we are using the equipment that is there now. If you would like to donate, please email Fr van Zee, FSSP, at [email protected].

The Stations of the Cross

The Stations of the Cross are not missing. A generous parishioner has agreed to fix the various defects for free. He will take one at a time and replace them once the defects are fixed until all are fixed. Let us thank God for this individual’s generosity to the Church!
