Current Announcements

Men's Recreational Hockey Team

One of our parishioners announces the following: We still need a few more players to form a team! No hockey experience necessary.

I am excited to announce the (attempted) formation of the men's Corpus Christi Hockey Club! I am looking to establish a low tier team of like-minded Catholics to join the local rec league in Estero's Hertz Arena. I'm shooting for an entry time of the winter season (starting January 2022) at the earliest to give us realistic time to organize. No hockey experience necessary. I plan to start us in the lowest tier, so as long as you can stand on skates, you'll be fine.

Why hockey?

  • Best air-conditioning in all of sportsdom
  • burn between 500-800 calories per game
  • build solid Catholic brotherhood

Even though I don't plan on getting the team signed up until January at the earliest, please contact me ASAP if you're interested so we can start organizing. For men age 18 and up. Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions, gear, cost, or otherwise. Martin Krizan [email protected] 239-888-1225

Mothers of Lu- Prayer Group for Vocations

Do you know the story of the Mothers of Lu? The mothers of the village of Lu, Italy (population 1200) prayed together on the first Sunday of each month, and, as a result, from their tiny village came 323 vocations to the Priesthood and Religious Life!
Read the story Here
Following the admirable example of the Mothers of Lu, those mothers who wish may recite the same prayer they offered (slightly revised to include religious as well as priests) after the Sunday Mass on the first Sunday of each month (starting September 5). If you cannot make it to the 845am mass, where they will recite it publicly, please join in prayer wherever you are on the first Sunday of each month in offering the prayer at the end of this post, asking God for the gift of priests and religious, especially from our own families! Following the prayer of the Mothers of Lu, we will also say a prayer (see below) for the Church in this time of difficulty. Please come to the pews near the altar rail, after the altar boys say their prayers after Mass. Please also offer, if you can, your Holy Communion and Rosary on the first Sunday of every month for vocations.
The prayers of the Mothers of Lu: “O God, grant that one of my children may become a priest!O Lord, grant that one of my children may become a religious!I myself want to live as a good Christian and want to guide my children to do always what is right, so that I may receive the grace, O God, to be allowed to give you both a holy priest and a religious! Amen.”
Prayers for the Church: "O Holy Spirit, Creator, mercifully assist Thy Catholic Church, and by Thy heavenly power strengthen and establish Her against the assaults of all Her enemies; and by Thy love and grace renew the spirit of Thy servants whom Thou hast anointed, that in Thee they may glorify the Father and His only-begotten Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen."

Annual Consecration of FSSP North American Province to the Blessed Mother

Act of Consecration of the North American Province of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Peter to the Blessed Mother of God

This consecration is made on the first Sunday of October by the members and faithful of the North American Province of the Fraternity.

Copies will be available in the vestibule before all masses or print your own

"O Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God and Help of Christians, behold this day before thy feet, the priests and seminarians of the Fraternity of Saint Peter, together with all those who, united with us as a spiritual family, place their hope and trust in thee. O Queen and Mother of all priests, it was by thee that Jesus, the Divine High Priest and Victim, was given unto the world, and He in turn has given thee to us.

Intercede, therefore, we implore thee, for us thy children, whom thou didst receive and accept at the foot of the Cross. Look with favor upon the work we seek to do for the glory of God and the salvation of souls. Obtain for us by thy prayers the graces we need as members of the one Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church, to be instructed and enlightened by her Magisterium, to be devoutly zealous for the graces of her Sacraments, and to be unfailingly loyal in our unity with the Vicar of thy Son.

(This paragraph is said by priests and seminarians only): Conscious of our own frailty, and of the hatred of the world for the works of light, we offer thee this day, and beg thee to take under thy patronage, our Priestly Fraternity. We invoke thee, this day and evermore, as our advocate and Queen, and devote ourselves and all those souls who seek our priestly care, together with all our works and all we have and are, to thy loving protection).

To thee and to thy Immaculate Heart, we entrust and consecrate ourselves. Assist us in our endeavors to spread the Kingdom of thy Son, so that those who have strayed from the truth may once more attend to the teaching of the Church; those separated from her unity may return to the one true fold; those in sin may be restored to a state of grace; and those who have abandoned the Sacraments may return with fervor to receive them. O Virgin Most Pure, do thou, together with Saint Peter, and all the angels and saints, pray for us all. May thy love and protection be ever upon our Fraternity, so that we may faithfully proclaim the Holy Gospel and bring the Sacraments to ever more souls. Obtain for us by thy prayers that we may persevere in grace until death, when we may be united with thee, our loving Mother, in our heavenly home. Amen."
